Whole Foods announced today that they will eliminate all plastic grocery bags from their stores by Earth Day 2008.

Today they are also giving out free reusable plastic grocery bags at all stores in the UK, Canada, and US.
What a great idea!

First Christmas

Lucy is certainly enjoying her first Christmas season here in DC. She is quite apt at present wrapping (especially with transporting rolls of wrapping paper) and is still trying to figure out exactly what snow is.

Sibling Love

We took Lucy to her first UVA football tailgate a few weekends ago. While her Wahoo collar is still too big, she did show her spirit proudly. Also in attendance at the tailgate was her half-brother, Bailey. They get along so well, and enjoy sharing. See below. :)

Lucy had her first bath a few weekends ago. For a "water dog," this retriever wasn't so sure about the whole tub thing....

Dogbook

Has anyone else seen the Dogbook and Catbook applications on Facebook? You can make a Dogbook page for your puppy, and then he can have other doggy friends. Farrell and I are signing Lucy and Nacho up for this party.

Welcome Home!

Lucy came home to DC this past Friday. Seemingly calm and sweet at 9 weeks of age, her personality comes out more and more every day.
Her current interests are: sleeping under couches, sleeping while spooning with our flip flops, her rawhide bone, eating rocks in our courtyard, and waking up to play at 3am. She has been so much fun, and we are looking forward to our weekend road trip to Long Island with our new pup!
